Not gonna lie, I was just about to skip today entirely, but I was already outside trimming the flower field, so I figured I’d at least cut some flowers in case I got around to arranging them later in the evening. I even had this idea about separating out the yellows and oranges and doing some cute sunny arrangement in one of my smaller vases while using the bigger pink stuff to pad out my previous week’s vase. Aaaaand… yeah, chores and prepping for this week’s classes got in the way so… not so much.
So please enjoy what is probably one of my realest “vases” to date! Pretty much the same as the previous several weeks, with the addition of a good handful of cheerful nasturtiums, which are really hitting their stride. Maybe I will get around to doing arrangements tomorrow, or maybe not. Either way, they’re still making me happy by existing inside, so I guess that’s the biggest part of the job done.

What we can do and what we have time to do can be very different things, especially when circumstances set the priorities. Balancing floral design with preparing lesson plans and taking care of a family, something’s got to give and it’s not at all surprising that that’s the fluff stuff. Kudos for any of the stuff you squeeze in on the fly.
Love the colors as autumn arrives and all the mix of flowers. Nasturtiums are always perfect in the vase.
Oh gosh, I’m glad you decided to go ahead with it! The colors are lovely, and that Gladiolus is incredible! Mine didn’t do very well this year (strange weather?), so I’m hoping for better results next year.
