Finally, a departure from the pastels!
These dark purple gladioli came from the same variety pack as my previous ones and I just had to build a bouquet around them this week. ‘Arabian Night’ (burgundy double), ‘Fascination’ (magenta double), ‘Joyful Investment’ (burgundy collarette), and ‘Impression Famoso’ (light purple collarette) dahlias in the main body. A handful of Monarda fistulosa to lighten things up.

Leftovers from last week’s bouquet got reshuffled into a smaller jar at the entryway — ‘Diana’s Memory’ dahlia, frilly pink gladiolus and some cheery Calendula ‘Cantaloupe’ mix.

I envy your ability to get both dahlias and gladiolas to bloom at the same time. They look great together!
I love the shade of purple of your gladiolus, although it seems unusual to see one that colour, but I have never taken an interest in them so wouldn’t know if that was actually the case! 😂 Your mixed pack has done you proud this summer – do you lift and dry them, or buy new each year? Thanks for sharing your vases with us – it’s always a joy to see them
I love glads. My mom would grow them. I miss growing them. These are lovely in your vases.
Stunning glads! 🤩 👏🏼
